INGREDIENTS:
8 slices day-old bread (1 inch thick)
2 glasses of milk
4 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons honey
4 tablespoons oil
1 lemon zest
1 stick of cinnamon
3 eggs
PREPARATION:
Heat the milk with two tablespoons of sugar, cinnamon and lemon zest. When boiling, let cool and remove cinnamon stick.
Soak bread slices in milk and coat with beaten eggs. Transfer to a pan with hot oil until golden. Drain well (you can go through paper towels) and place in a dish.
Lighten mixing honey with 2 tablespoons water and sprinkle with it the toast. Serve at room temperature.
Note:
This is pretty calorie dessert, so you should limit to two units per person. Not one more.
