Ingredients: (serves 4):
1/2 kg. red bean
200 g. bacon
1 ham bone
1/2 onion
2 cloves of garlic
cayenne

Preparation:
Put the beans in a saucepan with cold water and approach the fire. When it starts boiling add them fried bacon, chopped bacon forming, and the ham bone. In leaving the bacon fat fry the onion, garlic and a little paprika. This sauce is poured over the beans and let simmer. If there remain dry cold water can be added in small amounts. Once cooked, the beans are removed from the Basque, and if necessary they add a little salt. You can change the oil bacon, and ham bone for a few small pieces of raw cod, well-boiled to remove the salt. Another possibility is to use cooked eggs.
